Anna Belianskaya, Student, Magistère 2 Amse

I would like to share how I was looking an internship. I was looking through many sites. I was sending out my CV and motivation letter. I was looking for internships that match my interests. When I prepared my CV and motivation letter, I listened to the advice and consultation of the HR professionals. I received their advice at the Career day, which was organized by AMSE this autumn. The selection process consisted of online application with necessary documents, an interview by the ILO senior staff members. I dedicated time to prepare for my interview. It was conducted via Skype and I spoke a lot about what subjects I studied before and what I am studying now. Also I described areas of my interests and my previous work experience. I tried not to be nervous and concentrate on the dialog. My internship will be in Geneva. I will be doing my internship, which is three-month, with the ILO Department of Statistics.

Dr. Francesco Sarracino, Researcher at STATEC (Luxemburg) and at the Higher School of Economics (Saint Petersburg):

At STATEC, the Master’s students we take in work directly with our researchers on questions related to applied economics. There is a lot of competition for an internship in our organisation. We look for students who are highly motivated and skilled, able to perform top grade research to be used as data for local authorities and which can be published in international journals. AMSE sent us a really brilliant student; she fully met our expectations and produced the results we wanted.
